Wont boot after updating bios

In the event that a recovery procedure cannot be performed you can do the steps below: First off, you will need to open up the computer case and change a jumper on the motherboard into the “Recovery Mode Position”.

I waited for an hour until the battery ran down, after when I plugged it in to the power supply it's the same: And no display.

As soon as you press the start button it switches on but hangs at state "00" with the red CPU LED on, it then shortly resets and start again into the same state and stays there. Of course I then tried to flash it again with a second download of the bios from the asus homepage, and even tried several USB drives. Then I tried unpluging everything from the board (drives usb ports and so on) still nothing. Ive also seen them not flash at all this is where a USB stick with an activity light comes in handy. If that doesnt work remove everything but the CPU and one stick of ram in the A2 slot. If you still get nowhere remove everything, it will actually work with nothing in the board but the ATX power connection and the USB stick.

Go to the ASUS support page and download the latest BIOS.

On the side of the laptop, the power led is on, and the storage light is on when used.

The cooling fan initially spins up, then down, and comes on again a little later. Things seem fine, except that nothing comes up on the screen at all.
